Equipment List
Members of the 10th Mountain Division carried a variety of equipment. As Living Historians, it is not possible to own all of the equipment listed below. The beauty of this hobby is that each and every member of the group chooses his or her specialty based upon his or her interests. These interests include medic, chaplain, military policemen, radioman, grenadier, etc. Just pick an interest, and start collecting.
Members typically get together in small groups and spend a Saturday or Sunday morning combing surplus stores and antique stores looking for that one additional item needed for their collection. The Internet is also a great resource, from sites like www.ebay.com to www.wwiiimpressions.com. The hunt for that next item is the beauty of collecting.
One note of caution: This is an exhaustive list. Please do not think that we expect you to have all of this in your collection before you participate in the group. Current members eagerly help outfit new members. We are here to enjoy the hobby.
The men of the WWII Tenth Mountain Division used a wide variety of
uniforms and equipment during the War. Some of it was experimental, some was
limited issue, and some was standard WWII G.I. Issue. The list below will give
you an idea of some typical items a soldier may have had.
