WELCOME

Historians:  Keepers of history or Recorders of past events.

We cannot all be professional historians.  Some of us are descendants of the original mountain troopers.  Others are former military, including men and women who served in the modern 10th Mountain Division (L.I.).   Others are scholars, students, amature historians, authors and other interested parties.   There is no age limit – only a desire to learn and share this story with others.

We have asked the men who lived at Ft Lewis, Camp Hale, Camp Swift and in combat in Italy what they remembered, what they did and what it meant.  As these brave men a no longer with us, we tell their stories.  Using original artifacts and uniforms, we recreate small slices of the history that they lived, in an effort to make learning easier for those that come later.  We do not represent ourselves to have done the things that they have done, but try to learn what they did and relay it to others, in a manner that brings it alive.

We would like to invite you to join us on this journey.

It’s gonna be a WILD RIDE! Member Micah Wright at the “’40’s White Christmas Ball 2021” and a visitor. We believe she was out of uniform!
